The town, perched and built on a cliff for protection is famous for it’s excellent white wine. Another hour north we will arrive at the grounds of the Castle di Meleto, our home for the entire trip. This nine hundred year old castle was fought over and taken several different times in the wars for Tuscan and Italian power by the great city states of Siena and Florence. From the castle grounds overlooking the vineyards you will see other castles and ruins that dot the Tuscan landscape.

Day Three- Welcome – Group coaching “The Power of Intent”. Movement to Florence. Cradle of the Renaissance, Florence is everything and more than you can imagine. If you have been there before I guarantee you will see lots of new wonders. We’ll lunch in the magnificient Palazzo Vecchio Square within stones throw of the Uffizzi Gallery and in view of impressive statues by Cellini and Giambologna. Ponte Vecchio, the Straw Market, the great cathedral the Duomo plus many more sites. I’ll give you a comprehensive walking tour and then after lunch you can continue with me or check out the fabulous shops and stores that Florence is so famous for or just sit in a cafĂ© and people watch. We will enjoy a wonderful Italian dinner in Florence.

Day Four- Breakfast – Theme for the Day, Group Coaching, get your day started with great learning and inspiring discussionFirst we will stop above Florence for a fantastic tour of a castle more than 700 years old which is now the headquarters of the world famous Frescobaldi wines and olive oil. After the tour of the wine cellars and castle we will sit down and test the wines of the region accompanied by local cheeses, sausages, and olives. We’ll head once more to Florence and check out the great open air market of San Lorenzo. We’ll then visit the San Lorenzo chapel where Michelangelo did the Medici tombs. The ones that are not completed are as interesting as those that are for an understanding of the genius of the artist. Those who wish can proceed to see the masterpiece David. Free leisure time to enjoy this mystic city.

Day Five- Morning Workshop - What are your values? Today we will stay closer to our base location but that does not mean we will just be hanging around. We’ll check out the Baron Riscoli’s castle where the recipe for the famous Chianti wine came from. We will also enjoy the rich wines of Badio di Countonbono. We will visit some Tuscan hilltop towns and go to a local open air market where they sell food, clothing, art; really everything. We will enjoy wine and olive oil tasting at the Castle of Meleto. Dinner at the castle.

Day Six- Breakfast – Theme for the Day, Group Coaching, get your day started with great learning and inspiring discussionWe are off to Siena, Florence’s rival in the Renaissance. It’s Great Square where they run the famous Palio twice a year is unforgettable. The city is divided into sections better known as”contradas”. You will know which section you are in when you see the colourful banners. If we are lucky we will see the flag throwers as different sections march about the town with drums and flutes. The Duomo rivals that of any Italian city and the shops that ring the main Square make you realize that this was indeed a serious rival to Florence. That evening we will head for dinner to the walled town of Montereggioni. Located just 15 minutes out of Siena it was one of the outposts in the wars against Florence. Incredible sites and even more incredible hearty Tuscan home cooking await you within the walls.

Day Seven - Morning Workshop – What does your future look like? Hiking in the day & cooking demonstration at castle.

Day Eight- Breakfast – Theme for the Day, Group Coaching, get your day started with great learning and inspiring discussionMontalcino and Montepulciano, two of the most famous of Tuscan hill towns are our destinations for today. Both are incredibly famous for their wine which we will of course have the opportunity to try and buy. The scenery on the way to the towns is incredible and you will want to get out and take pictures throughout the day. I’ll fill you in on the history of the towns as we see the sites, unchanged for hundreds of years. One of the most famous of Tuscan towns is San Gimignano. It is the Tuscan town of towers. The important families built these medieval skyscrapers. Thirteen still remain. The others were destroyed by the Florentine Medici’s when the other families did not submit to their rule.
