Delay, Delay, Delay
How many of us women, delay doing those things that we really want to do, those things that would be so good for us?
As women, we are great at looking after everyone else. How many of you feel you are being over-indulgent if you do something just for you? Some women treat their pampered dog or cat better than they do themselves.
Self care is a mindset. I have coached young Moms on the value of self care. They usually feel they have to spend every precious moment with their kids, their spouse, doing responsibilities around the house, etc. You know the drill. We have all been there.
The crazy part and what these young Moms learn after working with me, is that they actually become a better Mom, wife, friend, etc., when they take some time out for themselves.
What does self care look like for you? Is it a daily walk, is it swapping babysitting services with a friend, lunching with a friend, talking a course ………….There are limitless possibilities. I have had clients for whom taking a bubble bath was a real treat. It isn’t so much what you do but how it makes you feel that counts.
How stressed are you? Life is journey and many of us are lugging so much baggage that we are not seeing the sights. None of us will ever be perfect no matter how hard we try but we can choose to enjoy this journey called life. Smile you are alive!
If you are thinking of being brave and doing something really cool for yourself, join us for the Dare, Dream Discover Tour. Indulge yourself and enjoy the experience of a lifetime!

The Power of Creativity
Creativity is the juice that fuels our brilliance. In our business and in our jobs we get so programmed to do things the same ways that we stifle our own creativity. Chances are it was that creative idea that got you into that business.
Think back to the times in your life when you had great insight or an innovative idea. What were you doing? More than likely your mind was relaxing, maybe you were driving, fishing or riding your bike.
How do we get more creative?
- Do something creative – gardening, cooking, woodworking
- Exercise – walking, jogging
- Read and follow The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
- Keep a journal – write those ideas down
- Try something new – eat at a new restaurant
- Be more childlike and play regularly
- Spend time in nature
- Have a positive and what are the possibilities attitude
Not everyone is a Picasso but we are all creative. If you have trouble believing you are creative substitute the word creative with innovative.
Expanding your creative thinking is a wise investment. Remember every business and every product was once a mere thought!

Lose Yourself In Italy- Part 2
In Florence, strolling on the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in italy, adorned with vast amounts of gold filled windows, what stories could this bridge tell? Looking up at the Duomo, the vastness and the pristine beauty. Asking the question," how could they have imagined these buildings soo many years ago, let alone created them?". Resting on the grounds of the Campo in Siena, Florences rival, wondering what is it like to be here when the Palio is on? What if your Contrade won? The beauty that radiates from these cities and villages pulls you in, wanting to see and learn more about the history of these souls. It truly is mystifying ....
Come join us as we explore Italy.....

Lose Yourself In Italy-Part 1

There is something very special about Italia, it is the kind of place that captures your heart and holds on tight until you return again. What is it that makes you fall in love? Could it be the lushness? There is a sweetness in the air that perminates through everything.... is it the kiwis hanging on the vine, or the rich aroma coming from the rows and rows of vineyards that never seems to end. The wind blows through the silvery leaves of the olive groves. Every once in a while you might see one or two fall off onto the mesh nettings placed at the bottom of the trees. This mesh always seems ready and willing to catch the ever so precious olives fall. Is it the strong pine like smell coming from the cypress trees lined up ever so perfectly? What about the brightly coloured sunflowers covering acres and acres of land. Their beautiful faces captivating everyone who passed. What kind of aroma do they give off? Then there are the fig trees, the palm and fragrant orange trees. And of course the ever so salty air coming up from the sea... They all add something very unique and special to the landscape that surrounds you and totally embraces you. Close your eyes and breathe in and breathe out, in and out...
This is only the beginning of your great adventure and escape to Italy with our
Dare- Dream- Discover Tour. Just Imagine........ Lose yourself....

Need to Empower and Inspire

Many have asked Jane and I why we have put together this special tour for ladies. I really think it comes down to our need to help other women. Our need to empower and inspire others into being the authetic persons they are meant to be. Think about it... many of us .. in fact I could even go out on a limb and say ALL of us have been through some kind of hardship in our lives by the time we reach say.. 40. Life does throw curve balls every once in a while. I know Jane and I have had our fair share. Sometimes when we reach these points in our lives we are at a stand still.. we cannot get past this big ugly wall in front of us.... this wall prevents us from growing, reaching, and daring to discover who we really are.. AND how powerful and strong we can be. Whether it be a divorce, death, job change, money problems, kid ups and downs, sometimes it just feels like the sky is falling upon us.. we cannot feel or see the sunshine. Sometimes we feel like hope has abandoned us. It hasn't......
Believe me...... Hope is always there, you just have to believe that this too will pass....A new season will begin.
Jane and I wanted to create a very special opportunity to assist you through this process, helping you to dare- dream- and discover the true you. In order to do this we want to take you away, change the scenery around you by taking you to a world of lush green valleys, a world of
sweet air, and fresh breezes. Be mezmerized by the breathtaking Italian countryside. This once in a lifetime tour will renew your spirit and give you the skills to more forward. Janes inspiring and thought provoking workshops will have you believing in a unlimiting future. A chance to build new relationships, let go of all negative thoughts, and inhale the beauty and tranquility that only this extraordinary experience can provide. We want to show you that there is sunshine that every once in a while peeks through the bushes. There is soo much beauty to be seen. We want to help you to inspire and empower yourself and others .... that is our goal.

What Kind Of Car Are You?
One of my favorite questions to ask a new client is if you were a car what kind would you be? The answers are always different from a mustang classic to a mini van.
Write down your answer and list the qualities that this car has. Then look at yourself and see how well these characteristics describe you? Chances are you will have a list of values that are important to you.
Ask your friends and co-workers the same question. You just may learn some important values and insights into what is important to them. Chances are the type of car they are will reflect on their job performance and personality. Have fun with it. There are no right or wrong answers.
My personal favourite is the red Ferrari. It looks great and loves being the centre of attention and while it may be great for short bursts of speed is not always practical for the long haul. Not everyone is a Ferrari thank goodness. I have had clients tell me they are a Volvo or a Saturn. They see themselves as strong, dependable and someone you can rely on.
So now you know what kind of car you are? How well are you maintaining it? Most of us maintain our vehicles on a regular basis. We take them for oil changes, rotate the tires, shine, polish and fill them with gas. If the red light goes on we seek immediate attention.
How well are you maintaining you? What kind of fuel are you putting in? Is it coffee and fast food or healthy nutritional meals and lots of water? What regular maintenance do you do for you? Do you follow an exercise routine? What keeps you balanced? Do you spend time in nature? Do you make time for fun? Do you operate at optimum performance or do you wait until the red light comes on, going from one crisis to the next?
Don’t wait until you are dragging yourself around, look after yourself now. We can trade in our cars for a newer model but we only get one of us! To operate at optimum performance you have to work smart. What does optimum performance look like for you? Work with a coach and put a plan into action. You can get there!

Inspiration Grows

In the fall of 2004 I decided to take on something I never thought I would ever in a million years take on.. "a marathon". Yes, thats right 42km... As if that was not enough of a challenge I also had the added goal of raising $6000 for Canadian Diabetes Association. I joined Team Diabetes. I was preparing myself for a marathon in Rome. The reason I chose to support diabetes was it affected my mom on a daily basis, taking four needles a day was not easy for her.
I wanted to do something to help her and others who suffered daily.
Was I going through a midlife crisis? NO I was only turning 40... I guess that could be looked at as midlife hmmmmm. I had reached a point in my life where I wanted to do more, more for the community, more for others. I wanted to also "inspire" others including my children into believing that if I could conquer this feat anything was possible.
I was not a runner, this made the goal even sweeter. The training began...all those winter days of snow and sleet, running and walking through slush and ice. It was not fun but I was determined.... Months went by until the day to leave for Rome arrived. My fundraising and training was complete, I was ready....
The day proved to include many speedbumps along the way however I did it! I crossed that finish line .. all of that hardwork and determination paid off. I felt very proud and empowered!
My story does not end there... As mentioned earlier one of my goals was to inspire my children. To have a positive influence in their life.. showing them anything was possible... I guess they believed...This past year, my son Brandon who is 17 years of age, just graduating from highschool decided to get involved.. he too decided to do a marathon.. a 1/2 marathon with team diabetes. He knew it was going to be tough.. he had to raise the monies and do the training..
A year ago this young man would barely clean his room let alone volunteer to do a marathon and raise money for a charity.. who was this child? This was a young man believing that anything is possible... I had the very special opportunity to join my son in Iceland 2006 to see his dreams come true. I was very proud of him as was he of himself....
Together inspiration grows......

Oct 26 to Nov 3rd- call for more information 1 877 288 6188
Day One - Evening flight from Toronto, arriving approx 9am/10am.
Day Two - Arrival Rome Fiummincino Airport. We’ll proceed north stopping in picturesque Orvieto for a welcome lunch. While there we will check out one of the most impressive cathedrals in Italy. The town, perched and built on a cliff for protection is famous for it’s excellent white wine. Another hour north we will arrive at the grounds of the Castle di Meleto, our home for the entire trip. This nine hundred year old castle was fought over and taken several different times in the wars for Tuscan and Italian power by the great city states of Siena and Florence. From the castle grounds overlooking the vineyards you will see other castles and ruins that dot the Tuscan landscape.
Day Three- Welcome – Group coaching “The Power of Intent”. Movement to Florence. Cradle of the Renaissance, Florence is everything and more than you can imagine. If you have been there before I guarantee you will see lots of new wonders. We’ll lunch in the magnificient Palazzo Vecchio Square within stones throw of the Uffizzi Gallery and in view of impressive statues by Cellini and Giambologna. Ponte Vecchio, the Straw Market, the great cathedral the Duomo plus many more sites. I’ll give you a comprehensive walking tour and then after lunch you can continue with me or check out the fabulous shops and stores that Florence is so famous for or just sit in a cafĂ© and people watch. We will enjoy a wonderful Italian dinner in Florence.
Day Four- Breakfast – Theme for the Day, Group Coaching, get your day started with great learning and inspiring discussion
First we will stop above Florence for a fantastic tour of a castle more than 700 years old which is now the headquarters of the world famous Frescobaldi wines and olive oil. After the tour of the wine cellars and castle we will sit down and test the wines of the region accompanied by local cheeses, sausages, and olives. We’ll head once more to Florence and check out the great open air market of San Lorenzo. We’ll then visit the San Lorenzo chapel where Michelangelo did the Medici tombs. The ones that are not completed are as interesting as those that are for an understanding of the genius of the artist. Those who wish can proceed to see the masterpiece David. Free leisure time to enjoy this mystic city.
Day Five-- Morning Workshop - What are your values? Today we will stay closer to our base location but that does not mean we will just be hanging around. We’ll check out the Baron Riscoli’s castle where the recipe for the famous Chianti wine came from. We will also enjoy the rich wines of Badio di Countonbono. We will visit some Tuscan hilltop towns and go to a local open air market where they sell food, clothing, art; really everything. We will enjoy wine and olive oil tasting at the Castle of Meleto. Dinner at the castle.
Day Six - Breakfast – Theme for the Day, Group Coaching, get your day started with great learning and inspiring discussion
We are off to Siena, Florence’s rival in the Renaissance. It’s Great Square where they run the famous Palio twice a year is unforgettable. The city is divided into sections better known as”contradas”. You will know which section you are in when you see the colourful banners. If we are lucky we will see the flag throwers as different sections march about the town with drums and flutes. The Duomo rivals that of any Italian city and the shops that ring the main Square make you realize that this was indeed a serious rival to Florence. That evening we will head for dinner to the walled town of Montereggioni. Located just 15 minutes out of Siena it was one of the outposts in the wars against Florence. Incredible sites and even more incredible hearty Tuscan home cooking await you within the walls.
Day Seven - Morning Workshop – What does your future look like? Hiking in the day & cooking demonstration at castle.
Day Eight-- Breakfast – Theme for the Day, Group Coaching, get your day started with great learning and inspiring discussion
Montalcino and Montepulciano, two of the most famous of Tuscan hill towns are our destinations for today. Both are incredibly famous for their wine which we will of course have the opportunity to try and buy. The scenery on the way to the towns is incredible and you will want to get out and take pictures throughout the day. I’ll fill you in on the history of the towns as we see the sites, unchanged for hundreds of years. One of the most famous of Tuscan towns is San Gimignano. It is the Tuscan town of towers. The important families built these medieval skyscrapers. Thirteen still remain. The others were destroyed by the Florentine Medici’s when the other families did not submit to their rule. Outstanding scenery and shopping around and in the town; A fitting way to close your Tuscan holiday.
Day Nine--Leisure time –time to reflect
Group Coaching closing ceremony – What are you ready to let go of and what do you want more of?
Day Ten- -Early morning drive back to Rome and flight back to Canada, arrival approx 4pm
